The Village is collecting the following data only:

·       Type of dwelling

·       Usual number of residents

·       Demographic profile including sex and age group;

·       Household profile regarding place of work

When you count yourself in, the Village of Marwayne receives up to $326 for each and every person in Federal and Provincial funding grant dollars because many grants are based on populations counts. This is HUGE for our small community as grant funding supports roads, social programs and other services. The more accurate the count, the more dollars the Village receives to provide services citizens need.

Current and reliable census date is essential to help municipalities be proactive in determining the public service needs of their residents. Residents of all municipalities use public services such as schools, roads, recreational facilities, emergency services, police services and libraries. By counting yourself in you are helping us identify your needs so we can provide the necessary services to you and your family. Completing the online census is an easy way for residents to contribute to their community - today and tomorrow.
